Urban Lifeline Project (ULP) and Agbogbloshie Development Project (ADP)

Projects aimed at empowering groups and individuals residing in slums. Target group included commercial sex workers, disabled, the youth especially school leavers and unskilled. Over 3000 people benefited from our training, microfinance and educational program


Club 21

Organized in partnership with the University of Texas Austin. 21 girls were selected from the slum and educated on various issues. Girls also benefited from a loan scheme to start their businesses


British Council Belongings Project (2007 - 2008)

This was a two year project organized by the British Council with SISS as partners. The project aimed at encouraging young people from Africa and the UK to explore notions of culture and identity to generate fresh ideas, challenge old stereotypes, create new understanding for themselves as individuals and for their communities and create relationships that would contribute to a better future for both Africa and the UK.
